Action around the world
Coming up: Global Week of Action 2-8 June 2008
Each year activists in 66 countries around the world took part in the Global Week of Action Against Gun Violence to raise awareness, campaign for better gun laws and push for stronger regulation of the global arms trade.
As well as gun violence and the proliferation of small arms, work towards an Arms Trade Treaty was a major theme of last year's Week of Action and will continue to be on the agenda this year.

Coming up: 2008 Biennial Meeting of States
Governments will meet at the United Nations in New York, USA, 14-18 July to review progress on the UN Programme of Action on Small Arms.
